While we enter Cancer season this Tuesday, some big Gemini vibes remain in the sky. Venus, the Goddess of Harmony, enters Gemini, the dual sign of the Twins, where she will remain until July 16th. In astrology, we follow this planet’s steps closely, as Venus’ position in the sky is what helps us attract all the good things like pleasure, love, and social interaction. In Gemini, Venus finds pleasure in integrating our duality. Regardless of what our zodiac sign is, we all have what we consider a “lower” or “higher” vibration in which we manifest our energy.
As spiritually-inclined people, we tend to spend most of our time on the higher—however, when life challenges us, we tend to fall into our lower vibration, which is only human. Venus in Gemini not only understands this, it helps us integrate these two sides of our psyche, as one would not exist without the other. The following ritual can be powerful in this process of sacred integration over the three weeks ahead (preferably when done on a Friday night).
THE RITUAL
You will need one silver and one gold candle, two sheets of paper, lavender essential oil, matches, and a bowl of water. Begin by cleansing your altar space, then meditate for as long as it takes your energy to ground.
Next, draw the symbol of Gemini at the top of both sheets while thinking of what the word “sacred duality” means to you. Then begin by writing on one sheet the side of yourself that you consider representing your “lower vibration.” Pour on as much as you can, let it all out! Next, begin writing in the other paper what you consider to be your “highest vibration.” Once you are finished writing, drip a couple drops of lavender essential oil in the bowl of water, fold both paper sheets, and put them both in the bowl of water as you say the words: “I banish the bridge between my inner twins.” Next, leave the bowl outside to absorb the moonlight.
The next morning, get the sheets out and leave them soaking in the rays of the Sun until they are fully dry. That same night, burn the lower vibration sheet with the silver candle, followed by burning the higher vibration sheet with the gold candle as you repeatedly say the phrase: “I banish the bridge between my dark side and my higher self—together, they make me who I am.”
