November comes to an end with a powerful New Moon in the sign of Sagittarius. On any given year, this would be a lunar event to set lofty intentions. However, in 2024, the Moon becomes new on the night of December 1st, preparing us for the upcoming retrograde of Mars, which will span between December 6 and February 23rd.
Luckily, this journey is marked by the formation of a Grand Fire Trine in the sky involving the luminaries (Sun and Moon in Sagittarius), Mars in Leo, and the North Node of the Destiny in Aries. We are being guided in harnessing the fire within as we fully immerse ourselves in what looks to be a profound spiritual journey!
New Moon Grand Fire Trine Spell
GATHER your items: three red candles, matches, Palo Santo, a piece of Carnelian, and a marker.
FIND a quiet place where you can fully submerge yourself in this ritual, ideally dimming the lights to create a witchy atmosphere.
LIGHT your Palo Santo and begin cleansing every one of the four corners of the room.
CHOOSE a place within the room where you feel comfortable, passing the Palo Santo all over it.
GRAB one of the candles and with the marker, add the symbols of both the Sun and the Moon while you repeat the mantra: “To embrace a new beginning, I first need to go within.”
GRAB the second candle, and with the marker, add the symbols of Mars and the Zodiac sign Leo, right next to each other as you repeat the mantra: “To reignite my passions and desires.”
GRAB the third candle, and with the marker, add the symbol of the Lunar North Node and the symbol of the Zodiac sign Aries as you repeat the mantra: “To follow my soul path, always in line with divine timing.”
ORGANIZE the candles on the floor forming a perfect triangle.
LIGHT the candles and sit in the middle of your triangle, put the Carnelian on your Root Chakra (hips) level, and allow your breath to soften.
VISUALIZE a red light coming from the first candle to the second candle, to the third candle, forming a triangle.
VISUALIZE that red light igniting your inner fire as you perceive yourself experiencing a powerful transformation over the next three months, coming out of it successfully and with your heart completely full.
END your spell once you feel like you’ve accomplished setting your intention, and say “thank you."
