If you’ve been feeling tired or out of sorts, you’re not the only one. For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been slowly entering the portal of eclipse season. And this week, the first eclipse of 2023 arrives like a thunder.
Eclipses are ultra-charged lunations that mix the past with the present and the future. They are the cosmic tools that instigate change in our lives—for this reason, their energy is not meant to be harnessed. One can see eclipses as astrological events that test our inner trust and ability to go with the flow.
For the past thirteen months, all eclipses have been occurring in the Taurus-Scorpio axis, but starting this week, eclipses begin to move to the Aries-Libra axis. This means that fate and destiny have a new face! Since January 2022, we’ve collectively been working on themes around pleasure and self-love and how these two concepts affect our relationships. And while we will continue to work with these until October, themes around independence, self-assertion, and courage (and how these affect relationships) will begin taking hold.
On Wednesday, April 19th at 9:13 p.m. Pacific Time, the Sun and Moon align at the very end of Aries. When responding to this week’s events, we will all be called to embody this sign’s vibration. Aries brings the archetype of the Courageous Leader and the Spiritual Warrior, paving the way for others to follow. This New Moon Solar Eclipse is a major new beginning and the themes that come up for us at a personal level could be present in our lives for the next two years.

This is a planet of black-and-white nature that prompts us to go deep and perhaps even uncover material that has been stored in the psyche.
