May initiates on a powerful note as Pluto - the Planet of Power and Transformation - initiates its retrograde. Unlike the retrogrades of Mercury and Venus, the retrograde of Pluto is long, slow, and much more profound. Since November of 2024, Pluto has been traveling in the skies of Aquarius, an intellectual air sign that seeks to evolve thought through the power of the mind. This is the first time Pluto will go retrograde fully in Aquarius, giving us clues into the ways our minds will help us heal over the next twenty years.
Spanning between May 2nd and October 13th, Pluto’s retrograde will invite you to confront your shadows, release outdated patterns, and reclaim your personal power. This cosmic reset asks: Who are you beneath all the layers? To help you navigate this journey, we’ve created a ritual to help you connect with your Spirit Animal through an empowering and intuitive ritual.
Pluto Retrograde Ritual
GATHER your items: You will need the Animal Spirit Magic Candle, the Purify Bath Bomb, a journal, and a pen.
BEGIN by cleansing your energy by preparing yourself a warm bath with the Purify Bath Bomb. If a bath isn’t possible, soak your hands or feet in a bowl of warm water with the bomb, visualizing your energy field clearing. Close your eyes and take deep breaths, imagining a veil lifting between you and the unseen world.
STEP out of the bath and find a quiet space. Light your Animal Spirit Candle and watch the flame flicker as you say aloud: "I call upon my spirit animal, my guide through Pluto’s retrograde transformation. Reveal yourself to me."
CLOSE your eyes and imagine walking through a mystical landscape—a dense forest, a vast desert, or an endless ocean. Let your intuition guide you. Notice what animal appears first. It may walk beside you, soar above you, or watch from a distance. Trust whatever shows up.
