We’ve come to the end of an important journey. This week’s solar eclipse - arriving on October 2nd at 11:49 a.m. PST - is the last one of 2024 and the end of a transformative journey.  Since July of 2023, we’ve collectively responded to the universe’s call to abandon the relationships that are no longer aligned with our path. This is due to the Lunar South Node of Destiny - the celestial black hole - traveling in Libra, the sign of relationships.

All kinds of relationships have ended and shifted, making room for new ones, either immediately or in the foreseeable future. As we close this cycle, it’s only natural to feel sensitive and nostalgic. This is a time to sit with our feelings, allowing ourselves to process loss and endings, while also rejoicing in the opportunity to begin anew. Eclipses bring us what we need, and not necessarily what we want.

Eclipses are times during which we’re urged to surrender to what is for our Highest Good, while trusting that behind it, there is a true sense of soul alignment. But someone leaving our orbit doesn’t mean we can’t honor their passage through our lives. The more gratitude we show them now, the closer things come full circle. Regardless of the nature of the relationships that have ended for you over the past months, you’re being invited to let go and heal in a spirit of gratitude and compassion, with the aid of the Eclipse ritual below.

ECLIPSE RITUAL - HONOR YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

GATHER your items: roses, lemongrass oil, sage, and your bathtub (alternatively, use a bucket of water for your feet). Choose a relationship that recently ended and that you would like to honor.

BEGIN by cleansing all your items and every corner of your room with the sage.

Fill up your bathtub (or bucket) with warm water as you imagine a ball of green light being lit in the center of your heart.

REPEAT the Hoponopono mantra (I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you) as you imagine a ray of light being sent to the subject of your ritual.

ADD the roses and the lemongrass oil to your water and get in.

REPEAT the Hoponopono mantra out loud while you’re in there as many times as it feels right.

END your bath by gathering the rose petals and burying them as far away from your place as possible.

SEAL the ritual by repeating the Hoponopono prayer one last time.
