Open up your doors and windows when you use this herb as incense to cleanse, in order to allow the air to move through the room and to come and go.  You will begin at the back of the house and move your way toward the front. Generally speaking, the front of your house faces the out-side world, whereas the back of your house leads out to more of your property.

The idea is to take everything that’s in your space and move it out into the world to dissipate and clear. As you move with the incense, hold your intention at the front of your mind and visualize both what you are removing from your house and what you are inviting in. Sometimes you might just be moving stagnation and replacing it with a higher vibration, just like you would remove dust from underneath the sofa or behind the tables.
