Jupiter Re-Enters Aquarius to Grant Us a Second Chance

Jupiter Re-Enters Aquarius to Grant Us a Second Chance

By Narayana Montúfar

Jupiter, the planet of abundance, re-enters Aquarius on Wednesday, July 28th at 5:43 a.m. Pacific Time due to its retrograde motion. This unusual movement the mighty giant performs this week could shift our attention from one area of our lives to another. A sense of anticipation could plague us around this time, giving us the deep need to finish something important, something that we originally began working on during the time Jupiter was in Aquarius, at the beginning of this year.

Jupiter’s second tour in Aquarius, which will last until December 28th of 2021, will give us the chance for a do-over in the area of our birth charts ruled by Aquarius. Looking back to something that happened or started in our lives between December 19th and May 13th can help us figure out where to direct our energy when it comes to growth, abundance, and manifestation.

While the energy of the planets is important for the collective, Jupiter’s astrological placement and movements are crucial, as they relate to the way abundance is finding its way through the cosmos. This means that regardless of what our sun sign is, we are all being called to embody the qualities of this interesting zodiac sign.

The Aquarian archetype focuses its energy on the collective, humanitarian activism, and the promise of a better future. Of the twelve zodiac signs, Aquarius is tasked with moving society forward by portraying and truly believing in a brighter vision of society. Like its symbol portrays, Aquarius is the Water Bearer, the mystical healer who bestows water, or life, upon the land. Interestingly enough, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn (in traditional astrology) and Uranus (in modern astrology), two planets that couldn’t be different from each other. While Saturn rules tradition, boundaries, and responsibility, Uranus rules change, freedom, and revolution.

For this reason, Aquarius represents the tension between sticking to business as usual, and the constant need to change and evolve. Aquarius represents both—the fear and the need—to move our lives forward and the excitement and resistance that those two bring.

So, as Jupiter re-enters Aquarius, it’s time to ask yourself: What is it that needs to change in my life so I can evolve and move forward?
