A deeply healing moment for our hearts is taking place this week with the arrival of the New Moon in Libra. While Libra season began almost a month ago, back on September 22, its climax moment is now. On Tuesday, October 21, at 5:25 a.m. PT, the Sun and the Moon kiss in Libra, one of the only two zodiac signs ruled by Venus, the planet of love. But this lunar event is no ordinary New Moon - it’s activating what astrologers call a Grand Cardinal T-square, a complex configuration that can have many different effects and meanings.

Since New Moons are new beginnings, this one certainly speaks of new relationships (romantic and business) being born. At a deeper level, it’s illuminating what needs to be healed, processed, and perhaps changed within our existing relationships. This Grand Cardinal T-square functions like a portal, an imminent moment of change that pushes us to relate with one another in a brand-new way. Let’s pull it apart and harness its energy with the power of ritual.

Libra New Moon Healing Relationship Ritual

Take a moment to create the perfect space for your New Moon Ritual. Light the Unconditional Love Magic Candle and set the intention to embrace loving but honest introspection about the state of an important relationship.

Jupiter in Cancer: Heart-centered Expansion

With abundant Jupiter traveling in Cancer, we’re being reminded of the need to create nurturing bonds that lead to soulful, heart-expansion.

Reflection Questions: Does this relationship feel like home? Is this relationship making space for my emotional nature to be expressed?

Chiron in Aries: Identity Freedom

The Wounded Healer comes into the picture here as the force that opens the door for healing to be found within a relationship now.

Reflection Questions: Does this relationship make room for my true sense of identity to shine forward? Is this connection allowing me to grow and evolve in a more balanced, integrated way?

Taking the Long View

Not all New Moons bring the long view of what’s beginning into account, but this one does! When you consider the state of the relationship that is now being highlighted:

Where do you see it going? What do you see the two of you building together?

Close the ritual by expressing yourself by repeating the mantra: “I bow to give myself the same love and attention that I give to this relationship.”
