Welcome to November and a pivotal week in our 2021 storybook! On Monday, we welcome Dia de los Muertos - the Day of the Dead - which for centuries has been celebrated in many cultures around the world. This is a special day in which the focus is to honor those who have passed and our ancestral lineage.
We are under the rays of the Scorpio Sun, a sign with enough depth to deal with such an energetic imprint. As a Water sign, Scorpio is not afraid of “going there.” In fact, it’s in this mysterious territory where it excels and pulls its immense power. As the archetype that understands that love transcends space and time, its psychic ability thins the veils, allowing us to connect with the other side.
This year, the Moon also joins us in honoring our ancestors as she renews herself on Thursday, November 4th at 2:15 p.m. Pacific Time. Bringing a double dose of Scorpion energy, this merging of the conscious and subconscious reminds us of the intimate bonds that have shaped us. Ruled by intense Pluto, the Planet of Birth-Death-Rebirth, this New Moon reminds us of the suffering of losing such bonds. But it’s in this remembrance of pain that Scorpio transmutes its ability to regenerate and rise above. This lunation is here to remind us that our hardest experiences have given us depth and have made us who we are.
Under this New Moon, allow yourself to go deep and really feel. Important messages are on the other side, waiting to be delivered. And the delivery vehicle is inside of us—in our feelings, sensations, and psyche. These messages have valuable guidance not only about how to deal with the challenges of our current time, they have vital information about our future.
The activation of the Saturn-Uranus square that the luminaries perform now has us floating between the old and the new, the present and the future. A new version of ourselves is ready to come out, but the fear of the unknown has us suspended in this liminal space. Can you feel it? As we slowly shed the parts of ourselves that no longer speak to our truth, integrating the memorable advice that our ancestral line has in store for us is key to our soul’s evolution.
