Mantra: “Like Mother Nature, I blossoming and come alive this Spring.”

We leave April behind and say hi to May crossing an energetic portal! This week, we find ourselves approaching Beltane, a vibrant celebration of fertility, life, and the blossoming of the world around us. Traditionally celebrated on May 1st in the Northern Hemisphere, Beltane marks the halfway point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. It's a time when the earth is alive with energy, bursting forth with new growth, and promising abundance in the months to come.

Beltane is a festival of fire and fertility, a time to honor the natural seasons of Earth. Beltane always occurs right in the middle of Taurus season, but this year, this pagan celebration feels even more abundant due to Venus - the Goddess of Beauty and Pleasure - also entering Taurus after being in an intense place in the sky (Aries) for the last three weeks! This week, get some witchy friends together to celebrate the return of the goddess!

Beltane Flower Ceremony

You will need everything that you would put on an outdoor altar: a white cloth, candles, crystals, flowers (daisies, roses, lilacs, or lilies are ideal), and food & beverage to celebrate with your tribe.

Find a quiet spot outdoors where you can connect with nature undisturbed. Lay your white cloth on the ground or a flat surface to serve as your altar. Take a moment to center yourself, close your eyes, and breathe deeply, grounding yourself in the present moment. Next, light a candle and repeat the following invokation: “Spirits of the forest, be with us now as we call in the divine love and protection of Venus. Bless us with your divine love, protection, and joyous presence.”

Next, begin arranging your altar with the flowers, crystals, and perhaps some of nature’s elements you find around you. As you do this, infuse each bloom with your intentions and wishes. Visualize your goals coming to fruition, like the flowers in full bloom, vibrant and abundant. Take your time with this step, allowing yourself to fully immerse in the beauty and symbolism of the flowers.

Once you feel finished with the ceremony, release the spirit of the forest by extinguishing the candle and offering your deep gratitude. Leave your flower arrangement on the ground as an offering to the spirits of Beltane, allowing the energy of the season to follow you wherever you go.
