Is someone gossiping about you and ruining your life? Are you haunted by a jilted ex who won’t stop harassing you? Are you being sued or taken to court unfairly? Sometimes, you need to freeze someone in their tracks when they’re attacking you, and nothing works better than a classic Freezer spell. These spells have been practiced by hoodoo conjurers for centuries and are still widely used today for one simple reason: they work. This container spell works to freeze someone’s speech or actions against you. So a gossiping mean girl can be hushed, or an overzealous admirer can be put on ice. Freezer spells are used to silence someone and freeze them out of your life. So don’t try this spell on someone you’d like to reconcile with, because they will literally be iced out of your life. Use this spell only against people who are harming you so that they will be frozen out of your world for good. This spell is some serious defensive magic and—like most spells—should not be undertaken lightly.

1. Set your ritual sacred space

Light a I Am Purifying or Bad Spirit Remover Magic Candle.  Smoke cleanse and clear the space for your intention by burning incense that contains Eucalyptus, Palo Santo, Rosemary, Alucema, and Myrrh - like Afoche - to bring in magical energy to power your spell casting or spiritual work.

2. Choose the container

All container spells work to bind, constrain or restrict the target of the spell. Depending on how and why you’re working the spell, you’ll want to choose an appropriate container. The easiest and least symbolic choice would be a simple glass freezing jar, but while it may be easily obtained, it may not have the most potent effect. If you’re trying to freeze someone out sexually—like an unwanted admirer or an obsessive stalker—then you’ll want to use a container resembling the genitalia. A phallic pickle, cucumber or zucchini will do nicely. To stop a gossiping backbiter, you might opt to choose a cow tongue instead.

3. Prepare the totem

You’ll need a totem of your target. The best choice is a photograph of the person, but failing that, you can simply write their name on a card or draw an image of their likeness. Ideally, a strand of their hair or an object they’ve touched will work nicely as well.

Place the totem in the empty glass jar. If working with a fruit or vegetable, cut the container open and place the totem inside before sewing or pinning it shut. For the spell to work, the container must be shut tight.

4. Add a wetting agent

Now fill the container with a wetting agent. To really sour a person, you should use vinegar. To make their hurtful words turn bitter in their mouths, try salt water. Or add red or black pepper if you want their lies to burn them in return, or if the conflict is sexual in nature.

Avoid using simple tap water which lacks the magical charge of vinegar or salt. Also avoid using alcohol or oil since they don’t really freeze and therefore, defeat the purpose of the spell.

5. Seal & freeze

The best way to seal the container—whether it’s a jar or vegetable—is to drip black candle wax on the lid or opening. As you drip the candle wax, meditate on the flame and visualize the consequences of your spell. Imagine the person being gone from your life, and enjoy how that would feel. Picture the person’s words turning bitter in their mouths. Or just imagine your harasser simply disappearing from your life.

Alternatively, if you don’t have a candle, you can wrap the container in aluminum foil, shiny side facing inward so that the target’s negative actions bounce back to them and never harm you. You can also combine both methods by sealing the container with wax before wrapping it in foil for extra oomph.

Finally, place the container in the freezer and watch your magic work.

Once the spell is complete, you have a few options.

If your enemy has been successfully cut out of your life and you have no reason to ever fear them again, then you can just unceremoniously toss the spell out with the trash, since they probably don’t deserve much of your energy.

Your next option is to ritually dispose of the spell by leaving it out at a crossroads at midnight. If you used pins, make sure to remove them so animals who might eat the fruit or vegetable don’t get hurt. Another option would be to let the spell thaw before pouring the liquid out into a running body of water and then burying the container.

Finally, your last option is to leave the spell frozen forever.

If your spell worked at first, but your enemy reappears a few weeks or months later, then you’ll have to recharge the spell. Light a Break and Cut Magic Candle.  Simply remove the spell from the freezer, let it thaw for a couple days, and then place it back in the freezer. You can repeatedly freeze and thaw the spell every few days to intensify the power of the spell. For example, if someone is actively trying to cause you physical harm, you’d probably want to freeze and thaw and re-freeze the spell every few days to keep them at bay.

This spell will prevent the target from contacting you, gossiping about you, or otherwise taking any against your interest. Any action they take against you will either fail or reverse back on them. Remember that a Freezer spell will completely ice someone out of your life, so don’t use this spell on a lover you want back, but on an enemy you truly need to cut out, otherwise you might regret it.
